Onboarding Session 3: Pharmacy Ecommerce Configuration
Create your online payment platform merchant accounts
When selling online, you will most likely want to take payments online. Storbie integrates with a range of integrated and secure payment platforms. Your Onboarding Specialist will provide sign-up links and details for your business to create your merchant accounts. Once created, send the details to your Onboarding Specialist so they can connect your accounts.
Each payment platform has different sign-up processes and associated charges. Please ask your Onboarding Specialist for more specific details on your chosen platform.
You can see recommended payment gateway options here .
Advise on shipping and/or click-and-collect preferences
Storbie supports set-cost shipping options or free/discounted shipping promotions. We also have a separate Local Pickup feature that allows for a smoother click-and-collect process for customers. As the website owner you can specify what options you want to offer – whether it’s only click-and-collect, local delivery within a certain postcode, nationwide delivery, or free delivery over a certain order amount.
Sync products from your POS system to Storbie
Storbie integrates directly with your pharmacy POS to allow for streamlined eCommerce management – product information including the barcode, pricing and stock-on-hand (SOH) sync to your website, and order information from your website will sync back to your POS system.
As part of your website project, your Onboarding Specialist will contact the relevant POS system team to request a new integration between your pharmacy and your website. This will be set up to automatically connect to any relevant suppliers within our Storbie Supplier Network. Once this is completed, your team can select your online product range and initiate the first sync of products. As Storbie cannot access individual POS systems we are unable to complete this step on your behalf. This step will take some time, so we recommend that all site owners begin to think about their product range before this step to streamline the process as much as possible. Think about what products are your best sellers, what ranges you’re best known for selling, and what unique lines customers can’t easily get elsewhere.

Managing restricted products
Selling online with a pharmacy means potentially managing the sales of restricted products online. We recommend thinking in advance about whether you want to list, sell, and manage these products online. See this guide for more about managing restricted products.
