The Background colour feature allows you to change the background colour of certain items. This allows you to highlight these sections to your customers, for example, a featured product section or announcement.

Background colours are only supported on the following content items:

  • Product gallery
  • Link gallery
  • Child page gallery
  • Formatted text
  • Banner

 
The background light and dark background colours are dependent on your website's default colours. These can be changed on in the appearance settings.

The background colour of the example website is green.

White appears as: 

Light appears as:


Dark appears as:


 
To add Background Colours to your website

1. Navigate to your website editor


 
2. Navigate to the content item that you would like to have a different background. For this example, I will be using formatted text. Currently the text is set to the default background colour

3. Click the display settings icon 


4. Select one of the background options.

4. Once you have selected an option, click Finish

5. Publish to save changes
