You can upload your own photos or other images to be displayed in your shop. You can also link the image to another page or website.

  1. Navigate to the page on which you want to add an image.
  2. Click the plus icon at the top of the area that you wish to add an image to, and select 'Image'
  3. Drag an image from your computer onto the area that says Drop FILES HERE.
  4. Enter some alternative text for the image. The alternative text is used by some browsers that cannot display the image, such as those that are designed for the visually impaired. It also informs search engines the purpose of the image, which can improve your search rankings.
  5. Click NEXT.
  6. If you’d like a caption displayed below the image, enter it, otherwise leave it blank.
  7. Click NEXT.
  8. Choose a border for the image or leave it as your default.
  9. Click NEXT.
  10. If you would like the image to navigate the shopper to another page when it is clicked on, enter the URL of the page.
  11. Click NEXT.
  12. The image will automatically be resized to fit the full width of the area that it is within. If you would like it to adjust to a smaller size, choose a size smaller than 100%.
  13. Click FINISH.
  14. The image will be displayed.

Most common bitmap image formats are supported, e.g. JPG, PNG and GIF. We will store a high resolution copy of the image and then create smaller versions of the image as required for display on the website. Storbie stores the high resolution copy at a recommended minimum of 2000 wide by 2000 pixels tall, so that is the optimum image size to upload. You can upload larger images but the additional detail will be lost and it will take longer for your image file to be uploaded.
Image Editing Tips
  • Because you can link an image to another website, you can use this feature to create buttons to social media websites. It is common to place this type of image into the sidebar of the page.
  • The image will automatically shrink to the full width of the content area in which the image is placed. However if your original image is smaller than the area then it will display at the original size.
