The manual orders feature enables to you create a custom order template that can be linked to your customers. When the customer clicks that link, their card will be pre-populated with the selection of products you chose for the template. Unlike with manual orders, an order template can be sent to multiple customers. For more information on one-off manual orders, please see this article .
Note: The Manual Orders feature is only available to shops on the Professional Plan and above.
Creating Manual Order Templates
Navigate to the Orders tab and click on the Create Order Template button.
- Complete the form, filling in the cart description and adding the necessary products. Optionally, you can override the product's name and price before adding it the cart. Product name and price can also be edited after adding it but clicking the edit button.
- Click Save and Close. The order template will then be visible in the Active Template list.
- To send the customer the checkout link, click on the Copy Link button next to the corresponding template. You can then copy and paste this link to the customer. This will direct the customer directly to the order checkout.
- Once an order has been placed using the order template, it will appear in Unprocessed Orders, ready to be fulfilled as per usual
Notes
- The Number of Orders column shows how many orders have been placed via the corresponding template
- The Copy to Custom Order button can be used to create a custom order from an active template. This will allow you to customise a customer's order further if required.
- To deactivate an order template, select the appropriate template and select Deactivate. Once a template has been deactivated, the cart link will no longer work.
- You can retrieve a template by heading into Deactivated Orders, selecting the relevant template, and then clicking Reactivate.
